New York Times breaking the silence barrier

| | Comments (0)

The New York Times have finally decided to say something about the significant anti-terrorist, pro-democracy rallies in Iraq that are all over the blogs: "In contrast, a heavily policed march in central Baghdad on Wednesday, organized peacefully by the country's major political parties, drew thousands of Iraqis to protest attacks by guerrilla fighters, which have injured and killed Iraqi civilians as well as occupiers." Check it out. That's really all they say, and it's buried in a story about all the negative things they could scrape together. Look for paragraph 9 of 13. They did mention it, though, and no other major media outlet in the U.S. has bothered to mention it, including Fox News. So much for the right-wing conspiracy theories about Fox. Compare Healing Iraq for real coverage.
